Richard, 48, joined Pointless co-host Alexander Armstrong, 49, to welcome four pairs of contestants all hoping to get their hands on the jackpot prize. After several rounds, it was left to

Paula and Stephen to battle it out against Jane and Susan on the BBC quiz show. As the head-to-head round got underway, Alexander told the players they would be trying to figure out which

celebrity's face matched the body of another whose first name was shared with their surname. It was Susan and Jane who won the round, but the next round in which Paula and Stephen could

have made the game even left Richard hitting out at the show over the bizarre category relating to nakedness. Commenting on the previous category, Alexander said: “That is a brilliant

round,” to which Richard added: “It’s certainly interesting.” The show’s main host remarked: “Compliments to the chef.” Richard opined: “Maybe not one to watch just before bedtime; you’ll

get nightmares,” before his co-host announced the focus of the next question. “The second question today is all about nakedness,” Alexander announced, leaving the contestants and the studio

audience in barrels of laughter. Before explaining the finer details about the category, Richard hit out, stating: “Goes from bad to worse doesn’t it this show.” It was all for laughs

however, with the quizzing mastermind then telling the contestants: “We’re going to show you five facts that some way relate to nakedness.” READ MORE: POINTLESS HOST ALEXANDER ARMSTRONG

STUNNED AS STARS IN SPAT OVER INCORRECT ANSWER After the round had come to an end, it was Jane and Susan who stood victorious and had the chance to get their hands on the jackpot prize of

£3,250. Unfortunately, the pair failed to secure a pointless answer, although they got exceedingly close to the mark. Playing along at home, viewers took to Twitter to comment on Jane and

Susan’s chances of winning before they bowed out. One viewer wrote: “I reckon they might win with her knowledge, I didn't know any #pointless.” Viewers had more to comment about on

yesterday’s show when one contestant gave an incorrect answer about a popular children’s book. Contestant Laura was floored by one of the questions when asked to complete the children’s book

title of A Very Hungry Caterpillar. With the name of the book failing to enter her mind, Laura guessed the title read A very Hungry Alligator, to which she was told was wrong. One viewer

posted in response: “The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a classic children's book. No Alligators. #pointless.” Another added: “#Pointless contestant ‘Something’s telling me that it’s The

Very Hungry Alligator????’.” Whilst a third exclaimed: “The very hungry alligator! #Pointless.” _POINTLESS AIRS WEEKDAYS AT 5.15PM ON BBC ONE._
