8.30 pm on Saturday when Dunbale was on his visit to a Sindhi society in Chembur situated close to his residence. Out of nowhere, a group of 10-11 persons armed with iron rods and swords


approached Dunbale and assaulted him. The entire incident lasted for a couple of minutes after which Dunbale, who was bleeding profusely was left injured. The miscreants fled the spot.


Locals rushed Dunbale to the civic-run Sion hospital where he is presently being treated. As per the medical reports, Dunbale was given 22 stitches on his injuries. After the assault, the


police have registered a case under attempt to murder, rioting and the Arms Act.
