Tony Davis, DMD, was appointed as the Chief of Staff at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center on August 20, 2018. Prior to this position, Dr. Davis served as the Chief of Dental
Services at Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center since March 7, 2004. Dr. Davis served as the Acting Chief of Staff on multiple occasions since 2016. Dr. Davis continues to provide a dual role as
Chief of Staff while still maintaining his permanent position as Chief of Dental Services. Dr. Davis is a Dentist with 23 years of professional experience, including a number of years as a
solo practitioner in the private sector. Dr. Davis’ practice at the Tuscaloosa VA includes treating Veterans in need of comprehensive dental care. Dr. Davis did his undergraduate studies at
Jacksonville State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting which was his first career for approximately 10 years before leaving that behind to pursue dental
school. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Dentistry in 1995 and then completed a General Practice Residency with the VA. Dr. Davis is the proud father
of 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren.
