Libby Johnson is interim associate director at John J. Pershing VAMC and health care center administrator at the Cape Girardeau VA Health Care Center. She is a native of Perryville,
Missouri, and a veteran of the United States Navy (2002-2008) Libby received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Columbia College, and a Master of Science Degree in
Education and Human Resource Studies from Colorado State University. While in the military, Libby served as a Chinese linguist and intelligence analyst, and received the Joint Service
Commendation Medal and Navy Commendation Medal for her work with the National Security Agency and Cryptologic Security Service. Following active duty, she worked for the Department of the
Army as an intelligence officer at Fort Carson, Colorado, and Fort Campbell, Kentucky. After returning home to southeast Missouri in 2011, Libby continued serving her country through a
career with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Prior to her current position, Libby was the associate director at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Libby
currently resides in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and is married to Joshua Johnson (ret. CPO, USN.). They have two children, Jacob and Rebecca.
