The VA Caribbean Healthcare System has been a true blessing in my journey with Multiple Sclerosis. From the moment I received the diagnosis, I felt overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty. But
the VA didn't just provide me with the necessary treatment and tools to manage my condition, they also gave me a sense of hope and belonging. I can't thank them enough for being
there for me every step of the way. My experiences with the Women's Clinics and the Spinal Cord Injury unit have been nothing short of amazing. The care and attention I received from
the doctors and staff were outstanding. I especially appreciate how they introduced me to the world of adaptive sports, which has completely changed my life. I now have a new perspective on
life and I'm grateful every day for the opportunities I have. One thing that I've noticed is that my friends who have MS and receive care outside of the VA system often face
challenges when they experience flare-ups. They must deal with long waiting times for appointments and referrals, which can be stressful and frustrating. I feel fortunate to have a
streamlined process and timely access to care through the VA. The doctors and staff here truly care about their patients and go above and beyond to make sure they receive the best medical
services and facilities. Because of their help, it's hard to tell that I have MS at first glance! I'm truly grateful for everything they've done for me. US ARMY VETERAN |
