Altoona , PA — The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center is hosting multiple drive-thru flu clinics throughout September and October. Starting September 28th, the Vaccine Clinics will be held
at each of the Community Based Outpatient Clinics in DuBois, Huntingdon, Johnstown, Indiana, State College, and at our main facility in Altoona. Already enrolled Veterans, and those
enrolled in the Caregiver Support Program are encouraged to attend. Veterans who are not yet enrolled in VA healthcare can also receive a Flu Vaccine by bringing a copy of their DD214 with
them to the clinics. Enrollment Specialists will also be available at the main facility to help unenrolled veterans receive the healthcare they have earned and deserve. Drive-thru Flu Shot
Clinics are scheduled for: * DuBois 9/28/2024 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. * Huntington 9/28/2024
8 a.m. – 12 noon. * Johnstown 9/28/2024 8 a.m. – 12 noon. * Altoona
9/28/2024 8 a.m. – 12 noon. * Indiana 10/5/2024 9 a.m. – 12
noon. * State College 10/19/2024 8 a.m. – 12 noon. If you are a Veteran, and cannot attend one of the scheduled clinics, vaccines are
being offered at Primary care appointments. Walk in hours are also available starting September 23rd every Monday and Wednesday, from 8 a.m. until 12 noon and Thursdays from Noon until 3
p.m. through October 31st, 2024. “As one of the largest healthcare facilities in the region, we have an obligation to make sure we protect our community against the flu,” said Dr. Derek
