Grab from the viral video&nbsp FARIDABAD: The Election Commission on Monday said that a polling agent has been arrested in Haryana's Faridabad, where voting in the Lok Sabha

Elections was held on Sunday. The polling agent was arrested for manipulating the poll process by allegedly rigging votes. The Election Commission of India said in a statement that "DEO

Faridabad has reported that a polling agent was arrested yesterday and FIR has been lodged. He was trying to effect at least 3 women voters." The EC, however, emphatically stated that

the voting process was not vitiated and that the act of allegedly casting rigged votes was limited to three women. "Observer visited the booth at Asawati in Prithla constituency of 10,

Faridabad PC. He is satisfied that voting was never vitiated," the poll panel stated. The poll body acted in the matter after a video of the polling agent, in which he appears to cast

votes for three women, went viral on social media. The video was subsequently brought to the notice of the Haryana election body. In the video, it can be seen that a man wearing a blue

t-shirt is sitting at the table while women are standing in queue preparing to cast their votes. As one of the women reaches the EVM to press the button, the man hurriedly walks up to the

voting compartment and appears to press the button in place of the voter. He then returns to his seat and repeats the act when two other women go to cast votes. What is shocking is that none

of the other officials present in the room attempt to stop the man from allegedly casting bogus votes. “Matter taken very seriously by the administration of Faridabad district. ARO Bharat

Bhushan Gogia HCS rushed to the spot. Soon he was joined by the observer SH. Sanjay Kumar who investigated the entire matter. “The person in the video is the Polling agent who has been

arrested in the afternoon itself. FIR lodged. He was trying to effect at least 3 lady voters. Observer & ARO with teams visited the booth at Asawati in Prithala constituency.  He is
