“Saturday Night Live” didn’t say sorry. Two days after Aimee Lou Wood blasted “SNL” over a “mean” skit — and told her Instagram followers she had received “apologies” — TMZ reported that the
sketch show did no such thing. “SNL” did not issue a “formal apology” to the 31-year-old actress, sources told the outlet Tuesday, while noting that Wood may have heard from someone she
knows on the show. EXPLORE MORE The insiders added that the NBC series “would not feel compelled” to express remorse over the “White Lotus” parody, titled “White Potus,” because it poked fun
at multiple people’s appearances in addition to Wood’s teeth. The skit, notably, featured comedians acting as political figures, from President Trump to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., while
channeling “White Lotus” characters. Comedian Sarah Sherman, however, didn’t play double duty and simply spoofed Woods’ character, Chelsea, without a political twist. WANT MORE CELEBRITY AND
POP CULTURE NEWS? Start your day with Page Six Daily. THANKS FOR SIGNING UP! Sherman, 32, wore fake teeth for her lines about not knowing what fluoride is. Wood subsequently called out the
“unfunny” skit, explaining to her Instagram followers over the weekend that while she is fine to “take the piss,” she believed the jokes lacked “nuance.” The “Sex Education” alum pointed
out, “I have big gap teeth, not bad teeth.” TMZ clarified that “everyone on the ‘SNL’ set loves” Wood despite not formally apologizing. Wood’s rep did not immediately return Page Six’s
request for comment. On Tuesday, Sherman made headlines for sending Wood a bouquet, which the “Daddy Issues” star showed off via Instagram Stories. “Thank you for the beautiful flowers,” she
gushed. Although Aimee Lou’s sister, Emily Wood, fiercely defended her on social media, her “White Lotus” co-stars have yet to do so. In fact, Walton Goggins, who played Chelsea’s love
interest, Rick, on the HBO series, called the sketch “smashing” in a since-deleted upload. The actor, 53, is believed to be feuding with Aimee Lou as the duo do not follow each other on
social media — but neither have addressed the rumors publicly. Their fellow cast member Jason Isaacs did, however, cryptically confirm “arguments” taking place on their “pressure cooker”
set. Wood was spotted breaking down in tears and being comforted by a friend in London Monday. She claimed to have been crying over “something completely unrelated” to recent online drama.
