ABSTRACT WE have reported the ion/induced-dipole clustering of cold hydrogen gas on protons1 and showed that the ion H15+, which is probably H3+(H2)6, was particularly stable. Theoretical
calculations by Poshusta _et al._2 and Easterfield and Linnett3 indicate that the ions Li+(H2)_n_ should also be stable. We now report experimental verification for this and also for the
