A CORDON WAS PUT IN PLACE FOLLOWING THE CRASH 06:43, 29 May 2025 A teenage boy was taken to hospital with a head injury following a crash. Emergency services were called to Liverpool Road
South at the junction of Manor Road in Burscough at around 1.30pm on Wednesday, May 28. North West Ambulance Service confirmed the teenage boy had suffered a head injury after falling from
his bike. A spokesperson for Lancashire Police yesterday said the road was to be closed for "some time" and told people to avoid the area and find an alternative route. People
living near the scene said the road was blocked in both directions after a cordon was put in place. An air ambulance also reportedly landed nearby. A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said:
"We have had to close Liverpool Road South in Burscough at the junction with Manor Road due to a road traffic collision. "The road is likely to be closed for some time so please
