Leicester 2023 'shooting' cops make 'murder conspiracy' arrest

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder in relation to an alleged shooting in Leicester 18 months ago. The incident is alleged to have taken place in Evington


Road, in the city centre, in November 2023. The 23-year-old man, from Leicester, was arrested yesterday (Tuesday, May 20), Leicestershire Police said today (Wednesday, May 21). Officers were


called to Evington Road at 11.20pm on the day in question following an allegation that two men had been shot as they walked along the street, close to the junction with Chepstow Road.

with the incident. A further eight men have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. All of the men have been released on bail. The force said investigations into the


incident, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, remained ongoing.. Both men from the alleged shooting were taken to hospital following the incident. They were later discharged. Anyone with
