AMIR HAMZA IS A CLOSE ALLY OF LET CHIEF HAFIZ SAEED AND ABDUL REHMAN MAKKI — BOTH DESIGNATED GLOBAL TERRORISTS BY THE UNITED NATIONS. Lahore: Lashkar-e-Taiba co-founder and senior Amir Hamza

was reportedly injured at his residence and has been admitted to a hospital in Pakistan's Lahore. Amir Hamza is a close ally of LeT chief Hafiz Saeed and Abdul Rehman Makki — both

designated global terrorists by the United Nations. The United States Treasury designates Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) as a terrorist organization and has specifically identified Amir Hamza as a

terrorist, advocating for international sanctions to be imposed against him. According to the US Department of the Treasury, Hamza, a member of LeT central advisory committee, was actively

involved in maintaining the terrorist outfit’s relationships with other organisations under the direction of LeT emir Hafiz Muhammad Saeed. Hamza, as of 2010, held a position as an officer

and member of a LeT university trust headed by Saeed. During the mid-2010, Hamza, reportedly, produced propaganda for LeT. Additionally, Hamza was one of three LeT leaders involved in

negotiating the release of detained LeT members.
