The walking dead season 9 spoilers: michonne doomed?

The Walking Dead fans struggled to get over their loss last year when Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) left the show. Since his exit there has been a lot of brand new characters and

some major deaths in the series. Thankfully the show hasn’t been killed off just yet, as its tenth season was confirmed by AMC yesterday. However one of the show’s biggest and most important

characters, Michonne (Danai Gurira) has not yet been confirmed to be returning. According to The Hollywood Reporter Danai has not yet signed up to the tenth season, and is apparently in

“prolonged negotiations” with AMC. They claim: “It’s unclear if she has signed a new deal to return.” Meanwhile Daryl Dixon actor Norman Reedus is “the new number one on the call

sheet". Daryl took up the mantle of Rick’s position after he was flown away in a helicopter earlier this season. But would Alexandria - and the show - survive without Michonne guiding

it through? Michonne entered the show in season two, and has since been a mainstay in the leadership of the group. While she has been through a lot, many of the characters look up to her as

one of the better-informed team members. If Michonne were to leave - or be killed off - there would not be many of the main cast left in the show. And with the Whisperers now taking aim at

the show’s favourites, could Michonne be a tragic casualty when they finally strike? Daryl would most likely take control of the group, while perhaps fighting for power against Negan

(Jeffery Dean Morgan), who was recently shown out of his prison cell. But will he be able to hold control of the entire community without Michonne by his side? Yumiko actor Eleanor Matsuura

Judith, or where her story’s going.” She went on to add: “She’s already showing more leadership skills than a lot of the adults. She’s amazing.” Could Michonne be taken over by Judith in
