Doomsday prophet pastor Paul Begley believes the Friday, July 27, Blood Moon eclipse was foretold by the Bible. On the night of the total eclipse, refracted sunlight in the Earth’s

atmosphere will paint the full moon in a deep red glow. But the Indiana-based conspiracy theorist claims the Blood Moon is a much more ominous event than assumed. Mr Begley, who preaches his

apocalyptic predictions to online audiences, said: “July 27 is not the end of the world, I repeat, July 27 is not the end of the world. “But it is a sign of the end times because you

already are in the end times. You can’t deny that. “There are way to many prophecies in play here, so that’s fact. We’re in the end times. “But the Blood Moon is definitely a prophetic

sign.” Mr Begley and scores of other Christian conspiracists believe the Blood Moon was foretold by the Bible in the Book of Revelation, the Book of Joel and the Book of Acts. The three

Biblical books speak of the moon turning blood-red as a sign of the end times fast approaching. The King James Bible version Book of Joel 2:31 reads: “The sun shall be turned into darkness,

and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.” And Revelation 6:12 reads: “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great

earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood.” Astronomers have assured the Blood Moon is a natural spectacle which occurs twice a year but Mr

Begley thinks a series coinciding events and anniversaries is too important to dismiss. Mr Begley said: “It’s a long Blood Moon – the longest of the century. “It just so happens to be the

70th year of Israel as a nation and it just so happens to be the year Jerusalem was proclaimed the capital of Israel and the eternal city of God, which the Bible says in Psalms Chapter 48.

“It also just so happens to happen the very night Mars will be at its closest to proximity to Earth in 15 years and the second closest ever approach to the Earth in 60,000 years. “Are we

talking astronomy or are we talking Biblical prophecy?” In his latest video analysing the “prophetic signs” of the Blood Moon Mr Begley said he is not questioning the science behind the

lunar eclipse but is simply recognising its significance. The popular YouTuber said he understands how the heavenly bodies move in the sky but argued he also understands the intelligent

design behind the sun, the moon and the stars. The so-called Blood Moon prophecy was widely popularised in 2014 by American pastors Mark Biltz and John Hagee. The duo of doomsday preachers

claimed four consecutive Blood Moons between April 15, 2014, and September 28, 2015, were a fulfilment of Biblical prophecy. But despite these prophetic scenarios, most astronomers agree the

Blood Moon will come and pass without incident.
