Last year The Maths Factor - Carol's latest venture, helping kids to be excited about maths - invited adults to test their own maths skills against the requirements of the new national
curriculum.
It was a ten-question National Curriculum Quiz, which included questions appropriate for children in Years 1-6.
A whopping 38,000 people took the quiz, which revealed some shocking results about the maths skills of the British public.
The average score was just 5.1 out of 10. Respondents fared particularly badly with the questions appropriate for Year 6 children (aged 10-11), including:
