after negotiations broke down between the university and a landowner over a 550-space parking proposal last month - fueling speculation about where a similar site could be found.
A UTAS spokesperson said given the complexity and scale of the expansion, the university engaged many "specialist consultants".
"Paul Lennon works with a number of northern-based businesses and is well-regarded," they said. "We have engaged him to assist us as we work to develop and secure parking solutions, which
will require commercial agreements."

Though not walking away from the idea of a sale in September, Glebe Farm owner Joe Pintarich said a final offer presented by UTAS was "not commercially viable" and had placed the burden of
preparing the site onto him.
The university had presented the 550-space car park as part of its expansion masterplan, which has been criticised for its potential impact on traffic in the area.
Multiple solutions are now being explored "in and around" the Inveresk area, according to the spokesperson.
"We are working to deliver parking solutions that ensure easy access for the community, students and staff to the new campus and the broader precinct as well as encouraging pedestrian and
cycling access."
Properties on Bedford Street, opposite the campus off Invermay Road, have been door-knocked in recent weeks with sale inquiries from a person who did not identify themselves.
The university would not confirm if they have approached property owners on the street.
"We will provide further updates when available," the spokesperson said.
