Oh, how to fathom the mysteries of the county’s incredible El Toro “Y” freeway project? Try the computer-driven, video touch-screen at the El Toro “Y” information kiosk now on display at
Irvine City Hall. The kiosk, a 6-month-old brainchild of the Orange County Transportation Authority, will be answering questions for perplexed El Toro “Y” commuters through Feb. 23. The
county transportation folks only have one kiosk, so they move it around a lot. On Feb. 24, it will be transferred to the Price Club in San Juan Capistrano on Doheny Park Road. Today Aspiring
poets can nurture their muse in a round-table discussion that focuses on Native American verse. The Newport Beach Public Library will host “The Spirit Walker,” one in a series of “Voices
and Visions” round-table talks. The discussion runs from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Newport Center Library, 1000 Avocado Ave., Newport Beach. The discussion will be in the Friends of the Library
meeting room. Information: (714) 717-3800. MORE TO READ
