2025 Wrexham are reportedly setting their sights on another England-capped player as they gear up to compete in the Championship. The club's owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney,

have made no secret of their Premier League ambitions after achieving promotion from League One in April. Manager Phil Parkinson is preparing for a pivotal summer transfer window as he plans

to revamp his team. The Red Dragons have already been associated with several top-tier players with international experience, including Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson and defender

Aaron Cresswell, who is leaving West Ham as a free agent. According to the Daily Mail, Wrexham now have their eyes set on an audacious bid to sign another Hammers player, Danny Ings. The

forward, who has represented his country three times, is also set to become a free agent after a two-and-a-half-year stint at the London Stadium. The 32-year-old first made a name for

himself at Burnley as a young player before securing a move to Liverpool in 2015. However, an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury significantly affected his time at Anfield following a

lengthy spell out of action. Despite eventually falling out of favour, Ings was highly regarded by then-Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. The German boss had nothing but praise for him when

his move to Southampton was announced in 2018. Article continues below As per the club's official website, he said: "He is such an outstanding boy. Honestly, if you could bottle

his character and spirit, his would sell worldwide - he is so incredibly positive and full of energy. "But we won't just miss his character, because he is a footballer who has all

the tools. What is clear is that in his time here he had zero luck really, certainly in my time. "Before joining I tried to watch as many games on tape as I could from the season so far

and Danny Ings stood out as someone I was really looking forward to coaching." Ings experienced more favourable times at Southampton, where he registered 46 goals in 100 outings

between 2018 and 2021. He then transferred to Aston Villa for a reported fee of around £25million. During his stint with Villa, Ings made 52 appearances and scored 14 goals before his

January 2023 move to West Ham. His spell in east London has been challenging, marred by injuries, leading him to seek fresh opportunities. The Premier League club announced Ings' exit

earlier this month, alongside those of Cresswell, Lukasz Fabianski, and Vladimir Coufal. Head coach Graham Potter said: "Aaron, Lukasz, Vladimir and Danny have been a pleasure to work
