Masking policy updated for the Marion VA. The Marion VA Health Care System is pleased to announce that effective immediately, masking is optional for Veterans, visitors, staff, and


volunteers in most areas of the main hospital, the Evansville Health Care Center, and our Community-Based Outpatient Clinics. Although masking will be optional throughout our facilities,


masking will continue to be required in areas that are high-risk. Below is a list of areas where masking is required for Veterans, visitors, staff, and volunteers, including in associated


waiting areas: Community Living Center (CLC) Acute inpatient medical/surgical units Intensive Care Unit Emergency Department Chemotherapy/Infusion areas Procedure rooms when aerosol


generating procedures are performed Operating Room/Same Day Surgery Veteran Patients, Spouses, and Care Givers my request that staff providing care wear a mask during their appointment in


any optional clinic area. Our staff will be happy to oblige that request.
