in Infectious Diseases for 10 years and has served as a subject matter expert and advisor for Antimicrobial Stewardship, Hepatitis C, HIV, Syphilis, and other STIs, and HIV PrEP Programs

for numerous Native American tribes across the US and Canada, as well as Oklahoma State University’s Hepatitis C ECHO Program. Ms. Essex has been a speaker at the Annual Presidential

Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS and a speaker/panelist for The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NAS) Committee on Prevention and Control of Sexually Transmitted

Infections in the United States. She has authored and co-authored several publications in the Infectious Diseases field while maintaining a clinical practice and overseeing the daily

operations of a busy outpatient Infectious Diseases clinic. Ms. Essex is excited to share her knowledge and expertise as she starts in her new role as Assistant Chief of Medicine Specialties
