Jamison, a Medical Support Assistant who is known not only for her exceptional professionalism but for her genuine kindness and connection to those she serves. Veterans who have crossed

paths with Lorraine describe her in glowing terms. “Lorraine is a ray of sunshine,” said one. Another noted, “She is so charming and excellent with her scheduling and assistance.” Whether

she’s managing appointments or offering encouragement during a stressful visit, Lorraine consistently creates an environment where Veterans feel heard, supported and respected. One Veteran

shared how Lorraine immediately stepped in when they hesitated, saying, “Lorraine saw me hesitate and immediately offered help. What a breath of fresh air. She really cares for the Vets.”

Another praised her ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, explaining, “She managed booking 10 appointments spread over 33 calendar days with 4 holidays. She remained cool, calm

and collected.” Lorraine’s commitment to service runs deep. Coming from a family of Veterans, she views her work as more than a job. “I feel like I owe Veterans more than what is asked of me

because I feel like everyone’s pretty much family when you’re a Veteran,” she said. For Lorraine, every moment with a Veteran is a chance to leave a positive impression. “I was always told

to make the first experience the best and most memorable experience, and I definitely live by that,” she explained. “From walking up to me, you're greeted with a smile. When you're

unhappy, you're still greeted with a smile. And leaving out, you're greeted with a smile.” She understands that even small moments of kindness can mean a great deal to those

walking through our doors. Whether it’s helping with appointment scheduling, coordinating medication refills, or simply being present and attentive, Lorraine delivers service that is

thoughtful, personal and heartfelt. “I just want Veterans to know that I genuinely care,” she said. “And if you do it right, they’ll see it. They’re very appreciative.” Lorraine’s approach

is rooted in respect, empathy and love for the Veteran community. “I just would like to thank all my Veterans. I love you guys, and I’m here for you.” The Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care
