Kathryn McGinn was appointed as the Associate Director for Patient Care/Nursing Service for VA Bedford Healthcare System in April 2023. MS. MCGINN PREVIOUSLY SERVED AS THE DEPUTY ADPCNS AT


VA BEDFORD HEALTHCARE SYSTEM SINCE 2021.  PRIOR TO THAT, SHE WAS THE ASSOCIATE CHIEF NURSE GERIATRICS. As a key member of the leadership team, she was involved in strategic planning,


organizational assessment, and program development.  She was also responsible for establishing standards of nursing practice to ensure quality nursing care. She previously held progressive


nursing leadership positions at Boston Medical Center, Boston, MA.  Most recently as the Nurse Director of the Boston Medical Center Trauma/Emergency Department. Ms. McGinn has worked in


various clinical areas including in home hospice, pediatric residential psychiatry, research, surgical intensive care, cardiac intensive care, and Level 1 Trauma/Emergency Department


nursing. Throughout her career, Ms. McGinn has been active in initiatives to improve quality of patient care, patient satisfaction, safe medication administration, infection prevention, and


access to care. Ms. McGinn holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Northeastern University and a master's degree in nursing from Framingham State University. She is a member of


the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Organization of Nurse Leaders, American Nurses Association and Nurses Organization of Veterans Affairs.
