The Augusta University Innovate competition aims to provide innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial solutions for challenges that affect CSRA communities. This year’s theme is “Solutions

for Non-Profits” in the Augusta community. Of the 6,395 non-profit organizations in Richmond County, more than 100 service Veterans and active service members.  “VA Augusta and Augusta

University have a long-standing partnership serving both future health care leaders and Veterans,” said Kelsey Shull, Innovation Specialist at VA Augusta Health Care System. “By supporting

Augusta University’s Innovate competition, we are exposing future leaders to innovative concepts right out of the gate. By injecting creativity and connection into their academic journey,

they learn VA is a place to continue to flex their innovative problem-solving muscles to benefit CSRA Veterans.” For the competition, students and faculty are encouraged to develop

inter-disciplinary student groups from a range of disciplines. It’s an opportunity to create real-world solutions by fostering creativity and innovation. “Our partnership with the VHA

Innovator’s network and Kelsey Shull has been invaluable,” said Lynsey Steinberg, Learning Innovation Specialist at Augusta University. “I am grateful for Kelsey’s continued support in

empowering the next generation of innovators and fostering a culture of creativity and problem-solving in human centered design thinking. Together, we have become the catalyst for positive

impacts in our communities and inspiring student success through collaboration.”
