Looks like the lockdown gave Gautham Karthik ample time to listen to scripts, and now, the actor is on a signing spree. Gautham, who has kick-started at least three films since the lockdown
was eased, has signed another film with debutant Arun Chandhiran. We hear that the two finalised the script over a video call! Titled 'Chella Pillai', the film is said to be an
out-andout family entertainer.Says Arun, “I’ve been a huge fan of Gautham’s father, Karthik. Just like how Paandi Nattu Thangam and Kizhakku Vaasal became big blockbusters for him and
changed his career graph, this film, too, will change Gautham’s graph. Though I don’t want to reveal too many details regarding the film now, I’d like to mention that the film will make
Tamil people proud.” The film is set in Madurai, a milieu that Gautham is quite familiar with. “It’s a tailor-made character for Gautham, who fits into the titular role perfectly. He is
sporting a certain look for his ongoing projects. So, we will be experimenting with a new look for our film,” says Arun, who’d earlier worked as an associate in films like Rajini Murugan.
