In times of the pandemic, where hygiene, health and safety are on priority, Yami Gautam preferred not taking any chances and missed attending her cousin’s wedding. The actress who was in her
hometown Himachal Pradesh skipped her brother’s wedding. Interestingly, the actress was there shooting for Bhoot Police starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez,
decided to give the family affair a miss. When Yami Gautam missed her cousin’s wedding! Know why Talking about the same, Yami told BT, “It was my maasi’s son’s wedding. You see the relation
is so close. The venue was just five minutes away from where we were shooting. Everybody from my family was there, right from my mother, sister Surilie, brother Ojas to other close
relatives, except me.” Sharing the reason behind keeping away from the wedding ceremony, Yami adds, “At the time they were following the – Under 50 guests only – norm. Considering there were
only limited people it was safe to go, but the thing is the Bhoot Police team had created a bio bubble on set and I didn’t want to ruin the set up. The producers were sweet enough they
asked me if I wanted to make a quick visit to the shaadi they could manage, but I didn’t feel like it.” Though not physically present, Yami connected with her folks virtually. “I was really
looking forward to having the dhaam (authentic local festive meal). In fact, my maasi said she could send over food to the set, but I thought of avoiding that too for precautionary reasons,”
she says.
