The West Australian A mixed weekend for WA's two AFL teams while heavyweights Geelong and Collingwood again showed true grit to make it two wins from two. There was much to like about

the way the Dockers dominated the Doggies, who were coming off a resounding victory over Brisbane. Certainly, Freo coach Ross Lyon would have been impressed with his side's thorough

professionalism. But what happened to West Coast? After their round one derby defeat here was a chance to get on track against a Hawthorn side who had tossed away a win against Geelong and

whose coach Alastair Clarkson was starting to take a bit of flak. Well, the pressure's been lifted off the 2008 premiership-winning coach but the Eagles will be concerned with the way

they were second best in the middle. Elsewhere, Nathan Buckley came out on top in his head-to-head against former mentor Mick Malthouse. Collingwood aren't firing on all cylinders but

their two wins have shown there's nothing wrong with their spirit. The same applies to Geelong after they pinched the points off North Melbourne in a similar manner to the way they

overcame the Hawks last time out. And then there's Melbourne. A club where last year's crises suddenly take on an air of nostalgia, the Demons currently look beyond help. So send
