Michelle WheelerThe West Australian Bandits have threatened workers at a supermarket with an axe and garden shears. Just after 5am, police were called to the corner of Farrington Road and
Findlay Road, Leeming, after reports that three men had tried to break into a bakery and then an IGA store. The trio threatened staff at the supermarket with an axe and garden shears but
were chased away empty-handed. They drove off in a late model grey Holden and were last seen travelling on Farrington Road towards the Kwinana Freeway. About 20 minutes later, three men went
to the Yangebup Store on Yangebup Road armed with a knife, a chair and a shovel. They threatened staff at the shop and stole cash and cigarettes before driving away. A police spokesman said
it was possible the two hold ups involved the same offenders. In both robberies the three men were described as having dark skin and wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information is asked
to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. GET THE LATEST NEWS FROM THEWEST.COM.AU IN YOUR INBOX. Sign up for our emails
