The soldier allegedly behind the killing of Police Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh in UP's Bulandshahr was sent to 14-day judicial custody by a local court on Sunday, 9 December. The
accused Jitendra Malik, alias Jeetu Fauji, was handed over to the UP Special Task Force (STF) around midnight of 8 December, following which a preliminary inquiry was done against him.
Speaking to news agencies earlier, Abhishek Singh, SSP STF said that a preliminary inquiry had been completed against Jeetu and he will be produced in court. “We've arrested Army jawan

Dharmendra Malik said that Jeetu was being framed and he can prove that Jeetu wasn’t present at the spot where inspector Subodh Kumar was killed. “My brother is being trapped in some
conspiracy, he's not involved in the killing of the inspector. I have evidence to prove that my brother wasn't present at the site where the incident took place. I request CM to
help me,” he said. Jeetu was detained by his unit in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, IANS reported, quoting army officials. According to the report, Jeetu was detained by the 22 Rashtriya
Rifles in Jammu and Kashmir’ Sopore town. Earlier, IG Crime SK Bhagat, during an interaction with the media, had confirmed that a police team was sent to Jammu to nab the Indian Army
soldier. The team is yet to reach and will later take the jawan into custody. According to IG Crime SK Bhagat, five more arrests were made in connection with Inspector Subodh Singh's
death, taking the number arrested persons to nine. VIDEO FOOTAGE, EYEWITNESS ACCOUNTS LED TO 5 MORE ARRESTS Bhagat said the five people, who were arrested, were identified as Chandra, Rohit,
Sonu, Nitin and Jitendra. He said their names were not mentioned in the FIR lodged in connection with the inspector's murder. They were arrested on the basis of video footage and
