India’s state-owned carrier has asked its passengers to report to airports well on time to avoid delays after agencies have scaled up security measures. In a statement on Monday, the
national carrier announced: At present, domestic passengers are required to report to the airport an hour before the scheduled departure of their flights, while international passengers are
asked to report at the airport at least one-and-a-half hours before take-off. As per the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) mandate, check-in counters for
domestic passengers close 45 minutes before scheduled departure, and for international flights, counters close 60 minutes prior to departure.
