The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) runs an IRCTC eWallet scheme under which a user can deposit money in advance with the corporation and use it as payment option at


the time of booking tickets. However, users are required to pay a registration fee of Rs 50 (plus Applicable Taxes, which are non-refundable), along with transaction charges of Rs 10 (plus


Applicable Taxes per transaction). Once registered, IRCTC eWallet users will have to get their account verified and authenticated through their PAN or Aadhaar. In case a user chooses to


cancel an e-ticket, the due refund will be credited to their IRCTC eWallet account the next day. An IRCTC eWallet account has a validity of 3 years from the date of registration of the


scheme.
