the chemical attack on a former Russian spy and his daughter in Britain last month, a senior official said here on Thursday."India is against the use of chemical weapons anywhere, at any
time, by anybody, under any circumstances," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar told the media here in response to a question on the incident. "We hope this issue is
resolved in accordance with the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention so as to reach evidence based conclusions," Kumar said. "India, like all other countries, awaits the outcome of
the investigation."UK counter-terrorism officers are investigating to uncover the origin of the nerve agent used in the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal, 66, and his daughter,
Yulia, 33, in Salisbury.Moscow has repeatedly denied any involvement in the incident that has led to Russia and Western nations expelling each other's diplomats.--IANSab/mr
