The last two of four inmates who escaped from Chesterfield County Detention Center on Oct. 15 have been arrested. All four inmates are back in custody. De’Shawn Fox and Kyonne McLeod were

arrested by the Darlington Police Department on Oct. 25, according to a press release from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. Fox and McLeod are the last two inmates to be

apprehended after a 10-day search since the initial escape. Authorities located Anton Conway Be nnett in Halifax County, N.C., 204 miles away, on Oct. 22. Another of the escapees, Emanuel

Planco, was captured in Richland County Oct. 17, 75 miles away from the detention center. Law enforcement arrested Zaryeal Dixon, 21, of Darlington on Oct. 16 who authorities believe helped

the inmates escape. It’s still unclear exactly how the four inmates managed to escape. The inmates escaped from the Chesterfield County Detention Center in the early morning hours of Oct.

15, Chesterfield County Sheriff Campbell Streater has said. This isn’t the first time inmates have escaped from the detention center. An inmate escaped through a door that was propped open

earlier this year, and in June 2023, an inmate accused of murder escaped through a barred window in the detention center. Both of those inmates were located and returned to the detention

center.
