Susan Sarandon (née Susan Abigail Tomalin) is an American actress and activist. She rose to fame after starring in the cult-favorite musical film _The Rocky Horror Picture Show_ (1974).


Sarandon achieved critical acclaim starring in the films _Atlantic City_ (1980), _Bull Durham_ (1988), _Thelma & Louise_ (1991), _Lorenzo's Oil_ (1992) and _The Client_ (1994). She


received the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in the 1995 film _Dead Man Walking_. Her other films include _Pretty Baby_ (1978), _The Witches of Eastwick_ (1987), _White


Palace_ (1990), _Little Women_ (1994), _Stepmom_ (1998) and _Enchanted_ (2007). Sarandon also appeared in the critically-acclaimed television limited series _You Don't Know Jack_ (2010)


and _Feud_ (2017). She is also known for her political and social activism, including supporting various progressive, social and environmental causes.
