Less than two weeks before the start of school in Jefferson County. And the school system still hasn't made a decision on its policy for implementing Senate Bill 150. That's the
new law that prevents schools from teaching about sexual orientation or gender identity and delays. When students can learn about reproductive body parts. The Jefferson County School system
is considering two different policies. One includes a statement of concern about the potential harm caused by the law. The other includes a stronger condemnation, saying the law violates the
U.S. Constitution. According to The Courier Journal. The Jefferson County School Board voted on the second option last night. The vote was 3 to 3. The board did not vote on the first
option. Instead, the board postponed action on that.
