A 12-year-old boy crossing by a hectic Long Island intersection was fatally struck by a young driver in a pickup truck during evening rush hour Monday, police said. The victim, whose


identity has not yet been released, ran outside of a crosswalk on Middle Neck Road near the intersection of Northern Boulevard about 6:38 p.m. in Flower Hill, an area near Roslyn in Nassau
