Two football fans were hit by cars in separate incidents outside of Highmark Stadium on Monday, New York State law enforcement officials said, killing one 65-year-old man and severely

injuring a 36-year-old.

The 65-year-old succumbed to injuries after emergency services attempted to save his life just before 8:20 p.m. ET.

He was a resident of Rochester, New York, and was hit near Stadium Drive in Orchard Park, a suburb of Buffalo.

There is no suspect in custody at this time, but New York State and Buffalo Police later located a vehicle believed to have been involved.

The second man, who was also not identified by police, was hit by a car in a freak accident that authorities said was the fault of the walker.

Police received calls around 10 p.m. ET about one mile from Highmark Stadium at the intersection of Abbott and Milestrip Roads.

Authorities said that the man crossed the street into the path of a vehicle which had the right of way,

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement after the crash.

Those roads were shut down for an extended period of time but reopened not long before the conclusion of the Bills’ heartbreaking loss to the Broncos.

Fans were able to exit the stadium with little difficulty, something the area is known to give its fans in the past with unpredictable snow patterns.

During the game, a brawl broke out between Bills fans with beers being thrown and punches flying in section 314.

None of the fans in the brawl were identified as of Tuesday morning.
