CB12 is a new long-lasting mouth rinse that prevents and treats bad breath. Effective for 12 hours, CB12 neutralises substances and processes that cause bad breath. It combats all three

parts of volatile sulphur compounds (VSCs) that cause bad breath instead of simply masking it for a short period. The combination of zinc and chlorhexidine eliminate the VSCs from exhaled

air and thus also bad breath. CB12 also contains fluoride. The mouth rinse was developed, using a gas chromatograph, a specially designed instrument capable of detecting sulphurous gases.

CB12 is easy to use and designed to give the user an exact dose every time. It is not suitable for those under 12 years or those sensitive to the ingredients. CB12 will be available from

November. RIGHTS AND PERMISSIONS Reprints and permissions ABOUT THIS ARTICLE CITE THIS ARTICLE Neutralising the source of bad breath. _Br Dent J_ 213, 421 (2012).
