The Dental Professional Alliance (DPA) met with MP Yasmin Qureshi to discuss a number of pending matters, with a particular focus on workforce, skill-mix, qualifications and training,

bureaucracy and red tape, and many other matters. These conversations and the work streams of the DPA will continue, with several topics that are evolving. The DPA is a group made up of

Presidents/Chairs from a key number of professional groups. Group members are: British Association of Dental Therapists, British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy, Orthodontic Therapists

Society, British Association of Clinical Dental Technology, Orthodontic Technicians Association, Society of British Dental Nurses; at the time of formation British Institute of Dental and

Surgical Technologists who are now part of the College of General Dentistry. The DPA works together to support each other and to collectively take on issues that arise that need a global

view. This group does not replace the independent professional groups, rather it brings those voices to the table. The group is a cross-professional group and has developed a wide range of

professional relationships. The work to date has been beneficial and certainly helped during the challenging times of COVID-19 and the path to recovery. RIGHTS AND PERMISSIONS Reprints and
