ABSTRACT The radiation-induced polymerization of acrolein oxime was carried out at temperatures ranging from room temperature to −78°C, and the resulting low molecular products were analyzed
by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Acetaldoxime, propionaldoxime, propenylhydroxylamines, dioximes etc. were obtained. Initial processes of the polymerization are discussed on the
basis of these reaction products. The present work offers further corroborating evidence for the already-described postulation that an anionic mechanism is operative above room temperature,
