ABSTRACT Many examples of epigenetic metalliferous mineralization in central and northern England occur within a province now recognized to be characterized by high heat flow. Our analysis
of this correlation leads us to conclude that Caledonian intrusive bodies, with high heat production and thermal conductivity, focused the development of hydrothermal systems responsible
