ABSTRACT AFTER the announcement of the starting up in August 1947 of the British low-energy pile, known as G.L.E.E.P., at the Atomic Energy Research Establishment at Harwell, numerous
inquiries were received regarding the availability of radioactive isotopes for research purposes. The Ministry of Supply has now issued a statement showing the present position, both with
regard to radioactive isotopes already produced at Harwell or now available in Great Britain from American sources, and also with regard to separated stable isotopes and mass-spectrometer
