ABSTRACT CAMBRIDGE.—An election to the Isaac Newton studentships will take place early in the Michaelmas Term 1933. These studentships are for the furtherance of advanced study and research


in astronomy (especially gravitational astronomy, but also including the other branches of astronomy and astronomical physics) and physical optics. Those members of the University are


eligible for the studentship who have obtained a degree in the University and were less than twenty-five years of age on January 1, 1933. The studentship will be of the value of £250 and
