ABSTRACT Astronomical Notes for June There is a close conjunction of Mars and Jupiter at 9 p.m. on June 4, Mars being 15′ south of Jupiter; the planets will be above the horizon in England
until after midnight. On the evening of June 8 there is a conjunction of Mercury and Venus, Mercury being about a degree north of Venus. The planets will be low down, but it may be possible
to observe them. Saturn may be observed in the morning hours, but its south declination of nearly 17° is a hindrance to accurate work. Access through your institution Buy or subscribe This
