IN one of his earlier papers, Aston (Phil. Mag., 39, 444; 1920) found three isotopes of neon, Ne20, Ne21, and Ne22. Distinct indications of Ne21 were obtained only on the clearest spectra,


and he estimated that, if this constituent exists, its proportion was probably less than one per cent. In his more recent work (Proc. Roy. Soc., 115 A, 487; 1927) apparently no evidence of


the isotope Ne21 was obtained.
