CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER IS SET TO RETURN TO SCREENS NEXT WEEK AND PRESENTERS AJ ODUDU AND WILL BEST HAVE TEASED THAT A HISTORIC TWIST COULD MAKE A COMEBACK 21:22, 31 Mar 2025 Back in 2006,
Celebrity Big Brother made waves when Chantelle Houghton, then a non-celebrity, entered the house and emerged victorious in the iconic reality show. Chantelle, who had been working as a
glamour model, managed to convince her fellow housemates that she was a member of the fictitious girlband Kandy Floss, as part of her undercover task while being the only unknown contestant.
She walked away with the £25,000 prize, beating out famous faces like Michael Barrymore, Pete Burns, and Maggot, and securing her place in the celebrity world from that moment on. Her
marriage to fellow contestant Samuel Preston from The Ordinary Boys later that year further solidified her newfound fame. With the highly anticipated return of Celebrity Big Brother this
Monday (7th April), hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best have spilled the beans about whether viewers might see a repeat of such game-changing twists nearly two decades later, reports Bristol Live.
AJ told reporters: "Chantelle was the only non-celebrity to go into the Celebrity Big Brother house but then ironically she became a celebrity and It was such a transformative
experience." She teased potential surprises for the upcoming series, saying: "We don't know and they could have that spanner in the works. I wouldn't mind seeing that.
There's always twists and turns with Big Brother." Will added his thoughts, saying: "Yeah she did so well. She wasn't the world's greatest singer but back then a lot
of pop stars weren't so it was almost more realistic." The pair can hardly contain their excitement about the forthcoming series, with AJ remarking: "It just shows how they
will always be thinking outside the box. Even last series we had Sharon [Osbourne] as a house guest, that was a never seen before thing so I would be very surprised if there's
isn't something equally as new and different." While AJ and Will are yet to be clued in on the full cast list for 2025, rumours are swirling that the line-up might feature Patsy
Palmer from EastEnders fame, Corrie's very own Jack P. Shepherd, TOWIE starlet Ella Rae Wise, and Drag Race champion Danny Beard – all potentially ready to strut into the legendary Big
Brother house next week. Will dropped some hints about what devotees of the show should anticipate: "We know nothing but you always know every series Big Brother is going to raise the
stakes and raise the game." He went on to emphasise that inside the Big Brother house, social media status won't mean much. "Someone may have 20 million followers on Instagram
and someone may have 300,000 but once they are in, they are all the same and have to do what they're told and as we know not every celebrity is used to that, but they're going to
have to get used to it." Jumping in with her view, AJ showed her zeal for the daunting trials ahead for the stars: "Every year you are like 'oh my gosh these tasks are
incredible'. Just when you think they can't surpass themselves they just do." Article continues below She wrapped up by saying: "I can't wait to see all the celebs
doing a bunch of silly tasks and un-celeby things. I wanna see outfits, I wanna see costumes, I wanna see it all." CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER 2025 PREMIERES MONDAY, 7TH APRIL AT 9PM ON ITV1
AND ITVX.
