MISSING STUDENT RILEY STRAIN SENT A CONFUSING FINAL TEXT TO A GIRL 10 MINUTES BEFORE HE VANISHED IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, ON MARCH 8, WITH THE SEARCH FOR HIM ONGOING 11:34, 19 Mar

2024Updated 23:06, 20 Mar 2024 Missing student Riley Strain reportedly sent a confusing final text to girl just 10 minutes before the 22-year-old vanished. The student has now been missing

for 11 days, disappearing the night of March 8 after he was kicked out of a Nashville bar. Bodycam footage recorded that day showed Riley talking to a cop at approximately 9.50pm local time.

The police stated on Monday, adding to its long thread on X, formerly Twitter, about the case: "No video has been discovered that shows Riley away from Gay St after the 9:52 pm

timeframe." Family friend, Chris Dingman, has spoken out claiming Riley was conversing with a female friend via text that night. READ MORE: RILEY STRAIN'S FAMILY SAYS CCTV OF FINAL

MOMENTS BEFORE VANISHING AFTER 1 DRINK SHOWS HE WAS DRUGGED Article continues below The girl had texted him asking how he was, to which he replied 'Good lops'. Chris said:

"She texted him to see how he was doing, if he was having fun. He sent kind of a scripted text back to her saying 'Good lops'". He added: "Every piece of the puzzle

we've been receiving, it leads us down 100 more questions. We're no closer to finding Riley. We just want Riley home. He's a great kid. He has a lot going for him."

Neither Chris nor the girl knew what Riley meant by this, calling it 'unclear slang' in a chat with NewsNation. Riley was out with his Delta Chi fraternity friends from the

University of Missouri when he had too much to drink at their formal event and was asked to leave, his family said. Riley was spotted at about 9.46pm that night, walking down the street by

himself and looking unsteady. Just one minute later, at 9.47pm, he was seen following a group and looking at his phone. After talking to the police, no one saw him again. His bank card was

found later on the side of the Cumberland River near Gay Street and Riverfront Park. The police say they have not found any signs of bad things happening as they keep looking for him.

They've been searching the area with drones, people walking, and boats with special equipment. They're also trying to find out where he is from his phone and Apple Watch, but they

haven't had much luck. The bar Riley was told to leave is owned by famous singer Luke Bryan, who later said he was praying for the student as the search for him continues. Riley told

his fraternity friends he was going back to the hotel, but he never got there. Article continues below A statement from Luke's 32 Bridge read: "We proactively provided detailed

information quickly after his visit to our business. This included all security camera footage, photos of Riley, transaction records and staff accounts. 'During Riley's visit, our

records show he purchased and was served one alcoholic drink and two waters." His mum, Michelle Whiteid, is said to have called him a few hours earlier and started to worry when she

hadn't heard back. When Riley didn't come home, his friends dialled 999 the next morning. Chris stated that Riley may have been seen at a homeless camp not too far from where he

went missing near the Cumberland River.
