IT LOOKS LIKE THE SAME THING TO ME, JUST A LAMER NAME. I think the weak #GoWokeGoBroke is just Cancel Culture, but lamer. Maybe I am wrong, and someone can educate me. Here’s the thing.
Cancel culture and go woke go broke are two sides to the same coin. People with different ideologies decide what to buy or not to buy based on what these companies have done to please them
or piss them off. Do you know what that is called? CAPITALISM. That’s right. Capitalism. The definition of capitalism is a political and economic system where a specific counties industry
and trade are controlled by private owners for profit, not the state. So basically, individuals, not the government, make decisions on what they will or won’t spend their capital on based on
various factors. When they come together, purposefully or by chance, these individuals can make or break a business. I honestly do not have a problem with this. I am not a fan of capitalism
myself, but anyone who is should support people boycotting spending their money on specific companies. For instance, I am pro-choice. I have not walked into a Hobby Lobby for years because
of my personal beliefs about a women’s right to choose as well as the right to birth control. I understand that the Supreme Court decided that a private business can choose not to cover
things against their religion (somehow, they are a corporation with the rights of an individual, but whatever). But that does not mean I will spend my money there. I am sure many people
don’t stop there for that reason. I am also sure that many people shop there because the company’s “values” align with theirs. The rest of the shoppers may not care one way or another. IS IT
WRONG FOR PEOPLE TO BOYCOTT WITH THEIR WALLETS? I do not think so. However, my issue is not the boycott; it is the hypocrisy. How can people bitch and moan about the destructive nature of
cancel culture but still practice it? I find the whole “Rules for Thee but Not for Me,” problematic. Suppose you do not like something, like cancel culture. Cool. That is certainly your
right. But do not complain about it, and then do the same thing (but name it something else) and act like what you are doing is entirely different. Also — if you are going to do something as
a group, make sure it works. Here are some companies that the people behind the #GoWokeGoBroke have tried to cancel and spectacularly failed: * Nike * Coca-Cola * Disney * Target * NASCAR *
Keurig * Gillette * Starbucks * Pizza Hut * Sephora * Campbell’s Soup * Guinness * Hallmark * Ritz * Doritos * Netflix _I hope this article was helpful to you — please check out my links
