Interesting fact: Shane Bauer was held in an Iranian prison for two years on suspicion of being a spy. Knowing this and looking at his body of work, I think one or both of the following
possibilities is likely. A- The Iranian officials were onto something, and Bauer truly was up to something nefarious. or B- Prison, especially in a foreign country, can do serious
psychological damage. (Look at John McCain) Perhaps he’s now overcome with an illogical hatred of Iran and its allies, and this could explain, at least in part, his total lack of integrity
in shamelessly pushing for regime change in Syria.
