Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the company doesn’t currently have any plans to continue serving customers in China, but is “thinking about it,” during the company’s earnings call. But the

company “would be best served by giving up on the China market in its entirety,” Richard Windsor, founder of research firm Radio Free Mobile, said in a note on Thursday. Chinese customers

will simply replace Nvidia in its absence, Windsor said, while tightening U.S. export controls will make it even harder for Nvidia to continue offering a competitive product. “Furthermore, I

continue to believe that Jensen is not thinking long-term enough about his China business as the $50bn market he thinks he is going to lose is very likely to be made up elsewhere,” Windsor

said.
