centre at lunchtime and you're spoilt for choice when it comes to sandwich spots. There seems to be one on every corner - or back alley if you count Fat Pat's - but that doesn't mean there

isn't room for more.

This December, and entering the lunch market will be Foldies, a brand new hot sandwich concept from the people behind Brewski and American Pies. Billed rather confidentially as the 'world's

greatest sandwich shop' it will open its doors next week and offer both breakfast and lunch bites.

‌ In August, the Chicago-style pizza spot American Pies, moved to its new home just off Cutting Room Square in Ancoats. This meant, their former unit by Spring Gardens was left vacant and

since then the owners have been teasing what could come next.

Confirming the news of the new venture to the Manchester Evening News, owners said: "We have been sitting on this idea for 6 years and are so keen to bridge the gap between quick and

convenient and high quality comfort food. Our bread bakes fresh in 60 seconds so it's perfect for a quick office brunch or lunch."

Well, customers popping in can look forward to pillowy hot dough stuffed with fillings such as nduja honey duck, chorizo and ranch, middle eastern lamb meatballs, slow cooked pork shoulder

and more.

There will also be a breakfast offering until 11:30am every day with sandwiches such as The Full Works encompassing sage cheddar scrambled egg, fennel sausage, bacon, avocado, nduja,

crumbled goats cheese.

Article continues below There's also the Huevos Rancheros with chorizo, avocado, scrambled egg, coriander, crumbled goats cheese, pico de gallo, chipotle ketchup.

Foldies will be located near to St Peter's Square, just opposite Manchester Art Gallery and will open on Thursday, 5 December. It will be open from 7:30am until 6pm Monday to Friday, and

8:30am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday.
